About

Chelsea is from Newport News, VA and graduated Magna Cum Laude from James Madison University in May 2015.  She double-majored in Biological Anthropology and Justice Studies, with an emphasis of Global Studies in the Honors Program.  During college, she did programs and studies in Italy, the Dominican Republic, South Africa, and Japan.  After completing her Honors Thesis on Indigenous Land Rights of the Khoi in South Africa, she knew she wanted to study International Law, so she decided to go straight into law school.

This summer, Chelsea will be working as a legal intern for the International Division of the National Center for State Courts. NCSC’s International Programs Division partners with donor agencies, host-country governments, and civil society organizations to support judicial independence and promote access to justice. NCSC has worked in more than 30 countries, throughout Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. She will be working in Arlington, VA, to help conduct legal research needed for their international programs across the world.
